Aloo-gravy.....simple,quick & delicious.....

A very simple yet mind-blowing aloo-gravy recipe......
this is my mother's recipe......

2 Large chopped onion
2 green chilli
cinnamon stick
2 black cardamom
4 black pepper
2 tbsp oil
1 tsp cumin seeds
1/4 tsp heeng
1 tbsp garam masala
1/2 tsp turmeric
8 medium size potato ( peeled,cut in half & pricked)
1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
1/2 tbsp red chilli powder
1/4 tsp dry mango powder
Salt to taste

Heat oil in a cooker.Add cumin seeds & heeng stir.Now add black cardamom, black pepper & cinnamon stick.Add green chilli, onion & ginger-garlic paste.fry till golden brown.Add potato & mix well, cook it open for 5 min.In a bowl mix garam masala,turmeric, red chilli powder & salt with 2 tbsp water.Add this masala paste in & fry it till brown .Now add 1 glass water & cover the lid.Cook it for 15 the lid of presser cooker &Add dry mango powder...serve it hot with chapati or rice....

  • you can add pees too as in matar season i like it with that.....goes well with this gravy...
