Blue Velvet Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting......

Blue Velvet Cake....... for my Dear Hubby's B'Day early morning surprise ........ <3 <3
I was planing for red velvet.......but as my husbands favorite color is blue so i choose to bake Blue Velvet two tier for him.........
my daughter loved it & asked me to prepare a pink cake for her b'day......


for cake--

2 cups sugar
2 eggs
3 tbsp royal blue food color
2 tablespoons cocoa
2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup buttermilk ( can check homemade buttermilk recipe on my blog)
1 tablespoon vinegar
1 teaspoon unsweetened coca powder
2 sticks butter on room temperature (225 gm.)

For frosting--

1 sticks butter on room temperature 
1 pack cream cheese ( you can check homemade cream cheese recipe on my blog)
1/2 cup sugar
4 tbsp heavy cream
1 teaspoon vanilla

In a bowl mix the butter & sugar until light & fluffy.
Add eggs & mix well. Mix food color & coca powder together 7 add
to sugar mixture. Sift.Sift flour & salt together. Add.Add half of the buttermilk & 
half flour in cream mixture mix well now add rest of buttermilk & flour,
blend in vanilla & keep mixing.At last combine soda with vinegar & mix in better well.

Preheat oven to 180.C
Grease the baking dish
pour batter in to a big & a small backing dish,
Bake it for 25-30 min or till knife into the center comes clean out.
Don't take it out from dish intently ( i always put it in refrigerator to cool fast with dish)
Cool it completely befour frosting......
