Instant Bread Gulab Jamun..........jhat-pat ilaaj for your sweet craving

Easy and quick gulab jamun made with bread, You can use leftover bread as i used......

Ingredients

Bread - 5 medium size slices
Milk - 4 tbsp
Milk powder - 1 tbsp
Nokul dana- 10

For  sugar syrup

Sugar -1/2 cup
Water -1 .1/2 cup
Cardamom - 2 crushed
Rose essence - 1 tsp optional
Pistachio - 4

Boil sugar and water let the sugar dissolve, keep the flame on medium,
add cardamom powder and boil the sugar syrup until it becomes little sticky.
touch the syrup it should be sticky.Keep the sugar syrup ready before frying the gulab jamuns.
Once it cools a little add rose essence to the sugar syrup if wanted....

Cut the brown crust of the bread. Dip both sides of the bread in milk & squeeze out the milk.Repeat same with all the bread slices.
Put the bread in a blender and blend it with milk powder for a second.Make a dough with it.

Divide the dough into equal parts and insert Nokul dana, make smooth balls with the bread dough.Don't apply much pressure otherwise
the gulab jamuns will turn hard.

Heat oil in a kadai and fry the gulab jamuns on low flame until they turn brown. If you keep the flame in high,
the  gulab jamuns will turn brown faster but the inside will remain uncooked.
Drop the fried gulab jamuns into the warm sugar syrup you prepared.
Let the gulab jamun soaked in the sugar syrup for 2 hours

Garnish it with pistachio
Yummy bread gulab jamuns are ready. You can serve it warm or chilled.
